It ranks 148th out of 179 countries on the UNDP's Human Development Index; is struggling to recover from years of violence, insecurity and instability; and has a long history of being struck by one natural disaster after another.
Montessori La Maison des Enfantis of Miami, FL USA and its sister school Montessori La Casa dei Bambini. A.M.S of Port Au Prince, Haiti together with local entities have joined forces to collect Food, clothing, medicine and other supplies to provide urgent aid to the victims of this tragic event.
